Our Beginner Piano Lab Classes are specifically designed to introduce the basics of piano to beginner students. In this social and collaborative environment, students use the latest state-of-the-art Yamaha technology combined with innovative instruction to make the first year of piano a FUN and EDUCATIONAL experience.
We also incorporate our music theory curriculum so students build a strong foundation which will benefit them on any instrument in the future. As well, our curriculum is aligned with the Texas State Music Theory exams which begin in Grade 1. All of our students have the option to participate in the state theory test.
Piano Lab students have the opportunity to participate in our recitals throughout the year including our Costume Recital (October), December Recital (formal), and our End-of-Year Recital (May/June). At the end of this 1 year program, students will be ready to move into our Piano Lab Year 2 program or move into private one-on-one lessons.
